Post-Modern's Avante Garde Artist Faig Ahmed.
Faig Ahmed was born in Suqayit, Azerbaijan in 1982 where he was emerged in art and Azerbaijan’s carpet weaving craft. However, Ahmed transforms it into what he calls a “violation of classicism”.
He is classified as a neo-avant-garde artist, but since his work dialogues with traditions of the past, his avant garde reputation is softened by post-modernism.
Ahmed takes the carpet, destroys it but makes its tatters flow cascadingly so that the entire carpet still moves together in a new form.
Ahmeds work can be found in such museums as Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Art Institute of Chicago, MOCAK Museum of Arsenal Art, Canada, Borgoin Musem, France, among others.
